2008 Pine Knot Raceway Mud Bog
CLASSES: 4x4 Class 1 - 34 inch tires and below. Class 2 – 35-40 inch tires. Class 3 – 41 inch and above tires. Class 4 – Unlimited – Will include all non DOT tire, paddle tire, rail buggy, nitrous, super charged and alcohol vehicles.
ATV Class 1 – 4x4 ATV Class 2 – Sport quad and two wheel drive ATV’s. Class 3 – All Side by Side ATV’s (Rhinos, Razors, Mules, etc.)
• Entry fee is $25.00 per vehicle or ATV.
• Prizes will be awarded for the top 5 qualifying winners in each class.
• Qualifying rounds will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5th.
• Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5th.
• Limit of 25 vehicles per class. Once 25 per class is reached, no more admitted to class.
• The top 5 qualifiers in each class will come back to compete again in the monster truck show that evening.
The purpose of the qualifying sessions is to find the top 5 vehicles that will fill the allotted time slot available between the monster truck events. Due to time constraints in the show, only the top 5 in each class will be able to move on from the qualifying sessions. But if you make the main event, you are guaranteed a piece of the prize purse.
2008 Pine Knot Raceway Mud Bog Rules Driver must have a valid state drivers license. Drivers 16 and 17 years old must have a minor release form signed by a parent or guardian. All drivers and pit crew must sign a release form, understanding that they are competing at their own risk and that they will not bring suit against any officials, promoter, employees, sponsors and/or property owner. By signing the release form you agree to all rules set forth.
1. All drivers must attend drivers meeting ½ hour before qualifying. 2. TRUCK WILL RUN TWICE IN EACH CLASS during qualifying sessions. 3. Drivers must run in the order that you draw. 4. 4x4 must be in lineup when their number is up. 5. FIRST TRUCK IN MUD PIT WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO FORFEIT FIRST RUN AND COME BACK AT THE END OF THE ROUND. 6. Must have vehicle in neutral and hands in air when hooking up from start line. 7. Must have a clevis with proper hookup. All entries will be hooked up from start line. 8. If truck stalls before 25 feet you have 60 seconds from the time of stall to continue. 9. When the GREEN FLAG drops, time will begin. 10. Classification is based on tire size only! 11. Must be prepared and in line 30 minutes before race when you class is called. 12. NO REVERSE GEAR ALLOWED! If you use reverse you will be DQ’d 13. You will be judged on time, if you do not complete the pit you will be judged on distance. 14. Your run will be over when forward momentum is stopped or official shows red flag. 15. When being pulled out - vehicle must be in neutral. 16. If using nitrous, alcohol, or paddle tires you must have a helmet and safety belts. 17. Must wear safety belt and have fire extinguisher. 18. No loose items on the truck. 19. Open exhaust is allowed. 20. Driver is responsible for faulty equipment. 21. No refund if truck is unable to run. 22. Vehicles must be handled in a safe manner Pit area speed 5 MPH 23. Only 2 pit passes per truck will be issued to the driver and other persons over the AGE 16. 24. Driver will be DQ’d if under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. 25. NO REFUND PENDING DISQUALIFICATION. Any driver who doesn’t obey the rules will be disqualified at any time. 26. Only track officials allowed at pit during the event. 27. The decision of the judges and pit stewards will be final. 28. NO KIDS UNDER AGE 16 IN PITS. Children under 16 competing in ATV events must be accompanied by an consenting adult. They will sign to release child. 29. Vehicle must stop immediately upon signal of red flag from flagman. 30. Mud Bog staff or its promoters are not responsible for accident or injury.
The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of competition events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and, by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official. The event director shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OR SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials.
